Drawing from first-hand experience as a seasoned executive coach, C-level executive, and entrepreneur, Carlo partners with organizations, teams, and individuals to enhance authenticity, strengthen relationships, and amplify leadership impact. He has coached and facilitated senior leaders across five continents, applying cutting-edge assessments, tools, and models that he has personally implemented in leadership roles.

Committed to truly understanding the challenges executives face, Carlo stepped into leadership himself—serving as Co-President and then Co-CEO of the Co-Active Training Institute (2018–2023), a globally recognized coach training and leadership development organization. Under his leadership, CTI effectively navigated the global pandemic, built significant product and financial resiliency, and successfully transitioned to becoming and employee-owned company.

Approach

Carlo is known for his quick wit, warm heart, and unwavering commitment to helping leaders stay true to their vision, values, and commitments. With a dynamic and approachable style, he guides clients through complex challenges with curiosity, courage, and resolve—empowering them to lead with greater confidence and impact.

Inspiration & Application

With degrees in Economics and Psychology, he’s explored the principles, mindsets, and styles of leadership both current  and past.  Whether it is new theories of leadership effectiveness, or long-standing cultural practices and rituals on community leadership, Carlo is on a quest to re-unite was we’ve know forever with what’s emerging now. He is a global faculty member at the Co-Active Training Institute and has contributed as a faculty member for Duke University’s Corporate Education program. Holding world-class coaching credentials, including CPCC and PCC, he is certified in multiple leadership assessments.

Beyond his professional work, Carlo is deeply committed to developing future leaders. He actively volunteers with Scouts Canada, coaches youth soccer, and serves as a Board Trustee for a rural boarding school—integrating his passion for leadership, human development, and environmental stewardship into everything he does.

As a part of his journey towards a more authentic life and leadership, Carlo is currently studying the work of Bill Plotkin and the Animas Valley Institute, learning about the role of Soul in living an integral life, and about our part (as humans) in enhancing the web of life on earth.  The move from an extraction-based existence to a regenerative-based experience is required for my children and grandchildren to have a sustainable planet on which to live.  

In Carlo’s perspective, this is not guaranteed given our current path, but a quest to discover his eco-purpose by listening to the world, and finding ways to have one foot squarely in the domain of our human culture and the other firmly in the domain of nature, where we learn from, respect and support all living beings on which we depend for our health, economy, and vitality.  As a result, he’s discovering yet again the importance of deep listening, co-creative action, vision, and being responsible for my impact on others and the world.  It is deep, sometimes dark, fruitful work that is pushing me to some beautiful, challenging limits.  He thanks the founders and stewards of this great work.
